This is a full time tax advice role based in Hayes Knight’s office in Sydney’s CBD.

You will be working closely with the Director Tax Services to provide advice to SME clients on a wide range of complex tax issues including structures and restructures, CGT concessions and rollovers, international tax and cross-border structures, Division 7A, GST and other tax issues affecting SME clients.

What the role involves:

• Working directly with the Tax Director to develop new business and grow the practice
• Preparing tax technical advice on a wide range of complex tax issues
• Managing specialist technical assignments efficiently
• Answering technical questions
• Providing technical support to other teams of the firm
• Ad-hoc responsibilities as required

What we’re after:

• 5 + years of tax advisory experience in an established tax consulting environment (Big 4/mid tier or specialist boutique firm)
• Solid Australian tax technical skills and knowledge
• Strong professional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to identify and resolve difficult and complex technical problems
• Ability to interpret complex tax issues into everyday language
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• CA/CPA qualification and/or Masters of Tax

The salary is commensurate with experience.
